AMWA Board Hires Casey as Executive Director and Chief of Police

It gives us great pleasure to announce that during its August 19th Regular Session, the board of directors of AMWA voted unanimously to hire Bill Casey as its permanent, full-time Executive Director and Police Chief.

Since joining AMWA in March as a private consultant and the Interim Executive Director, Casey has established a rapport with AMWA customers and support groups alike.

In addition to supervising the development of AMWA assets such as future well sites and the maintenance of existing properties including the Lake Athens Dam, Casey has taken a proactive stance in promoting the organization.  From giving informative speeches to groups such as the Athens Kiwanis and Rotary clubs, to serving as Keynote Speakers for events such as the Lake Area Property Owner's Association Annual Meeting, Casey has become the "face" of AMWA, building new relationships and strengthening familiar ones.

Says President Steve Sparkman, "We're excited to have someone of Bill's capabilities and integrity to lead our staff and provide direction to the board."

Casey comes to AMWA with a military and law enforcement background, most recently working with the Henderson County Sheriff's Department as the Jail Administrator and then as bailiff for Judge Carter Tarrance. He and his wife, Pat live in Larue.
