The Athens Municipal Water Authority will hold its next election for the Board of Directors on Saturday, May 2, 2020. This election will be for three (3) Board of Directors positions.

REQUIREMENTS FOR FILING FOR CANDIDACY
In order to gain a place on the Saturday, May 2, 2020, ballot for the Board of Directors, prospective candidates must complete the qualifications set forth in The Texas Water Code, Section 54.102:
- To be qualified to serve as a director, a person shall be at least 18 years old, a resident citizen of the State of Texas, and either own land subject to taxation in the district or be a qualified voter within the district.
